 Spotlight on Bournmouth

If you're thinking of a well deserved weekend away and fancy a change from Brighton I can tell you, you can do a lot worse than Bournmouth. OK so there's not as many bars or clubs but the few that are there are friendly and make you feel at home. My partner (Lee) and I popped down for a night on Saturday and started off with a quiet lunchtime drink at the Bakers Arms in Commercial Road, A nice little bar in the triangle area (Bournmouth's gay area),
then it was on to the Branksome Arms just a stones throw up the hill , I can recommend the good sized split level bar, it also has a beer garden. I had a great time. (thanks to all the staff)

9pm and it's time to hit the exchange in the triangle,.....later than this and expect to queue.....it seems that the whole of Bournmouth is here, and most of the UK!...Loud and lively with a great atmosphere, from there it's over the road to the towns only gay nightclub The Triangle. Great sounds and a great place to end the evening.
The Sunday was spent laying around on the beach,...no Brighton pebbles, just golden sand...a little tip here...if you're in one of those hotels that like to throw you onto the streets at the unheard of hour of 10 or 11am on a Sunday, then go to the beach office and hire yourself a beach hut for the day, fab value at £10, you get 4 deck chairs thrown in and if you're not traveling by car its handy to lock your bags in so you can wander back to those bars and say your farewells! Hic!

You can find allsorts on the beach!
