Most bars in New Orleans are open 24 hours a day, every day. So, if you don't see hours listed it's because most bars in New Orleans never close.
New Orleans has some rather relaxed liquor laws. For example, when you leave a bar, you can take your drink with you anywhere so long as it is in a plastic "go cup" [cruising crystal]. You can drink on the streets in New Orleans. But, you are not allowed to carry glass containers or cans.735 Nightclub/Bar, 735 Bourbon, 581.6740
The Scene: A trendy Manhattan-meets-South-Beach nightclub vibe, featuring two dance floors, the upstairs Loft and balcony, the downstairs Red Room video lounge, live music, theme parties, drag shows and nationally-known DJs. Definitely a place to be seen. The Crowd: Regulars include a broad mix and diversity of people. The Sounds: House beats dominate the main floor on weekends, with retro favorites in the Loft. Other nights feature industrial, disco, '80s and deep lounge music. Claim to Fame: Madonna's "American Pie" video was shot here, and MTV's "Real World" cast worked and hung out here. Rating: With so much going on, it's hard not to find something to like. Further, the inclusive door policy is a breath of fresh air ~ Margaret "DJ Mags" Coble. One of New Orleans' Best: Nominated by citysearch.com and digitalcity.com for best dance club for its diverse format and cool yet comfortable feel. The DJs: Alyson Calagna is the Thursday and Saturday night resident, with Tony Estrada, Raymond Maddox and Al Fresco filling in the rest of the schedule. What to Wear: Basic black or theme costumes. The Drinks: Tank up on the 735 Energizer, the club's trademark cocktail that contains the popular energy drink Red Bull.Another Corner, 2601 Royal St., 945.7006

Oz, Experience The Magic! 800 Bourbon Street, 593.9491.
Oz is one of New Orleans best high energy dance clubs. Since Oz opened its doors, it has been the place to party until daybreak. Details Magazine ranked Oz as one of the top 50 clubs to party in the country. Gambit Magazine ranked Oz as New Orleans #1 dance club. Oz has been awarded the Bar of The Year, Dance Bar of the Year and Show Bar of the Year awards at the Gay Appreciation Awards. Once you experience Oz, you'll understand all the excitement. The greatest thing going for Oz is its location. Oz is located on St. Ann and Bourbon Street which turns into "Mardi Gras Central" during the weeks of Carnival. If you get to Oz early, you might be able to squeeze your way to the rail of their balcony which overlooks a crowd hungry for beads. A traditional Mardi Gras chant is "show me your (insert body part here)!" Once the merchandise is properly displayed, the exhibitor is thrown a pair of Mardi Gras beads. The biggest attraction at Oz is the dance floor. The music is hot and the light show will amaze you. Another amazing thing to see at Oz are the dancing boys. On the weekends, OZ has some of the hottest men, take our word for it,dancing on the bar. The dancers will inspire you. And, once they get you worked up enough, you can burn off some of that energy on the dance floor. OZ sponsors a different event on nearly any night of the week. (Check out the calendar of events .)Phoenix/Eagle, 941 Elysian Fields, 945.9264
One of the most popular men's bars in the city, it is the home bar for the Knights D'Orleans, the Lords of Leather, New Orleans Leather Alliance and the Acadiana Society for the Deaf, all of whom sponsor weekly events at this very cruisy bar.
